The Bachelor of Allied Health produces work-ready health professionals who have the knowledge, skills and necessary qualifications to make a real difference within the wider Allied Health community. Throughout this course you will develop your knowledge in a broad range of topics including anatomy and physiology, health psychology, population health and health promotion. You will also undertake more detailed study in one of the minors offered within this course including Community Health Project Management, Healthy Ageing and Aged Care, and Indigenous Health and Wellbeing. You also have the option to complete the vocational award of HLT33015 Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance, through successful completion of your first year of study plus one pre-determined elective unit that can be embedded into your study plan. This vocational award enables entry to the allied health workforce as an Allied Health Assistant.

COURSE DETAILS
The Bachelor of Building Design will provide you with an understanding of construction, structures, building materials and services, sustainability, professional practice, and communication, to prepare you as a confident and capable building industry professional.

If you have a vocational education and training (VET) qualification in building or related trades and would like to increase your employability by up-skilling, then this course may be for you. You may also be eligible to gain credit for prior learning and reduce the time it takes to complete your degree.

You will develop skills in planning and documenting for buildings of any height or floor area, including restorations, renovations, unit development, and extension work.

On completion of the required units, you may also be eligible to receive an interim or exit award of the Associate Degree of Building Design.

COURSE DETAILS
The aim of this course is to give you a comprehensive overview of the scientific discipline of psychology and its applications. The course is delivered in accordance with the foundational (level one) competencies for three-year undergraduate psychology programs as specified by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC). You will acquire an understanding of the underlying principles, theories and concepts within the discipline. In addition, you will develop knowledge of the range of core research areas that make up the discipline, and an understanding of the methodologies and statistical techniques used by researchers for information gathering and analysis. There will be opportunities for you to explore applied and professional uses of psychology. In addition, you will be introduced to psychological theory, research, and applied and professional uses of psychology in an ethical and culturally responsive context.

Upon completion of this course, you will have a highly marketable qualification. This course is universally acknowledged as an indication of competence and achievement in understanding human thought and behaviour that can be applied in a variety of people-oriented vocations. Graduating with this qualification, however, will not allow you to call yourself a ‘psychologist’. This requires further study involving an honours course (4th year of study) and then an accredited Psychology Board of Australia pathway.

Successful completion of an accredited three-year psychology sequence of study will mean you are eligible to apply for a competitive entry position in the 4th year of study through our honours course (CC42). Honours level study will prepare you for either the coursework necessary for conditional registration as a psychologist in Australia and/or research higher degree studies in psychology.

If you have successfully completed the first year of the course, but do not wish to continue in the course you may request to exit the course with a Diploma in Behavioural Science.

Note: If you already have an existing bachelor’s degree and wish to obtain an accredited three-year psychology sequence, consider enrolling in CF59 Bachelor of Science (Psychology).

CQUniversity’s Master of Construction Management is ideal for you if you are looking to build your construction management credentials for a career as a construction manager and you hold a three-year bachelor degree in areas related to construction such as architecture, building, construction management, engineering or project management.

A career in construction management is in high demand in today’s financial climate with employment opportunities worldwide. The building industry contributes substantially to the economy and provides housing, schools, hospitals, offices, factories and many other amenities for the community, nationally and throughout the world.

In this course, you will learn about the process of building construction from land planning and building legislation, procurement, risk management, and contract administration, and the use of building information modelling (BIM) as it applies to construction. With a focus on construction management and project management, you will gain skills and knowledge to embrace the principles of project management as they apply across different phases of the construction project cycle to achieve successful project outcomes in terms of time, cost, quality, safety and sustainability. COURSE DETAILS
The Master of Engineering allows you the opportunity to develop professional skills such as teamwork and communication while applying and further developing the theoretical knowledge you gained in your undergraduate study.

This course begins with an introduction to Australian engineering practice and three project units, providing the opportunity to apply discipline knowledge and skills in an authentic project, in some cases with an industry mentor, and will help to prepare you for engineering practice.

You will then select four units from topics including sustainability, mining, project management and rail. Depending on your career aspirations you may also choose to pursue an internship.

Finally, you will complete a major research project that will demonstrate your ability to work as a professional engineer.

For domestic students, this course is also available in online study mode, giving you the flexibility to study even if working or living in a remote location.
