My Experience at Taylors College Perth as an International Student

Student council president of Taylors Perth, Priya, tells us about her experience at Taylors College Perth. The events, the teachers and the friends she has made.
It has almost been a year since I came to Perth and started at Taylors College. My time in Taylors has gone by really fast yet the memories I made here, I will cherish forever.

Having come from a multicultural society like Singapore, I loved the diversity in the different nationalities of students I met in Taylors. Honestly, the teachers, friends and even staff I have got to know at Taylors have truly made my first year of overseas studies bliss.

Leaving all your family and friends back home and starting in Australia is not easy for everyone but I can wholeheartedly say that I have come to have another family now in Australia , my Taylors family.

The conducive, fun and enriching environment within campus itself has helped me achieve my distinctions in various units. The teachers’ willingness to ensure students attain their full potential is truly remarkable. However, my life on campus has not only been books, books, books but it has also been an all rounded experience. The event coordinators during my time in Taylors have never failed to present successful and enjoyable events for all students every week. These events have always given me a platform to meet fellow students in the college, from other programs as well. My fellow peers and even ex Taylors students, my mentors, in Unihall encouraged me to take on an additional student role by being part of the student council. I volunteered and helped out in numerous events throughout my first two terms and was appointed as the Student Council President.

It has certainly been a wholesome experience studying in Taylors. In July, my year in Taylors will come to an end and I am glad to graduate from Taylors with good grades, a better resume and excellent friends. Thank you Taylors College Perth.
